Two officers from the Los Angeles Police Department rescued a pilot seconds before a train hit the crashed Cessna 172 stuck on the tracks.
On Sunday, the small plane made an emergency landing after taking off in Pacoima, according to AP.
Two LAPD officers heroically pulled the injured pilot from the wreckage.
“Go! Go! Go!” one of the officers shouted as they dragged the injured pilot away from the train tracks.
Moments later a train crashed into the empty plane.
“Foothill Division Officers displayed heroism and quick action by saving the life of a pilot who made an emergency landing on the railroad tracks at San Fernando Rd. and Osborne St., just before an oncoming train collided with the aircraft,” the LAPD account tweeted.
