Feds In TROUBLE – Texas Takes a Stand

Joe Biden’s open borders agenda already has produced, in less than one term in office, millions of illegal aliens freed to access American jobs, social benefits programs and education.

And it’s so important to him to keep the southern border open that Border Agents deliberately destroyed sections of wire fencing that had been erected by the state of Texas to protect its citizens, according to a new report.

Which now has generated a lawsuit.

According to a report published in Just the News, the state of Texas and the Texas Public Policy Foundation have sued the Department of Homeland Security, Customs and Border Protection, Border Patrol, Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, action Border Patrol Commissioner Troy Miller and others.

The case, in U.S. District Court in Texas, explains the problem: “[Since] September 20, 2023, federal agents have developed and implemented a policy, pattern, or practice of destroying Texas’s concertina wire to encourage and assist thousands of aliens to illegally cross the Rio Grande and enter Texas.”

Border agents also “attach ropes or cables from the back of pickup trucks to ease aliens’ ability to illegally climb up the riverbank into Texas, … regularly cut new openings in the wire fence, sometimes immediately after Texas officers have placed new wire to plug up gaps in fencing barriers.”

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott has become a pain for Biden administration officials enforcing his open border policy.

The governor has ordered the installation of float-type barriers in the Rio Grande River in Eagle Pass. Also Texas National Guardsmen and women have erected concertina wire and large shipping container walls.

Recently, Abbott ordered more wire barricades after Eagle Pass officials declared a state of emergency in response to a surge of thousands of people illegally entering within a few days, the report said.

But federal agents cut the wire in heavily trafficked areas, and Texas Border Czar Mike Banks caught the deliberate destruction on video.

The report explained Abbott posted the video on social media, commenting, “Texas installed razor wire in Eagle Pass to stop illegal crossings. Today, the Biden Admin CUT that wire, opening the floodgates to illegal immigrants. I immediately deployed more Texas National Guard to repel illegal crossings & install more razor wire.”

The case charges the feds with illegally destroying state property, disrupting state border security efforts, and damaging the state’s efforts to protect its citizens from illegal invasion.

The feds are charged with destroying the wire fencing at least 20 times.

“On each of these occasions, CBP has entered onto state, municipal, or private land to destroy state property. Plaintiff has not placed concertina wire on any federal land near Eagle Pass,” the filing charges.

Abbott has explained his state has sovereign authority to defend its border and prevent illegal entry.

His barriers have earned the approval of the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals.
